Who We Are

Independent Caring Realities was founded by the parent of an individual with a disability, driven by a deep, personal commitment to empowerment and inclusion.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are dedicated to delivering high‑quality, compassionate services for New Jersey adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Approved by the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), we offer personalized one‑to‑one support as well as enriching community‑based group activities—helping each person we serve build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections.

Our Mission

Independent Caring Realities, Inc. is dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities in New Jersey to lead fulfilling, independent lives through individualized life planning and skill-building.

We offer support – including one-on-one and in-home support as well as community-based group activities and events – focused on daily living skills including but not limited to personal care and hygiene, meal planning and preparation, home and money management, and health and wellness.

Our work is made possible through state reimbursements, charitable donations, and community fundraising.

Every aspect of our organization is committed to enhancing the independence, wellbeing, and inclusion of the individuals we serve.
